We Believe In Building Trust

The Smile Station Dental Care team at the practice office in Paducah, KY

Smile Station Dental Care is a locally owned dental practice in the Reidland area of Paducah, Kentucky, led by Dr. Scott Bridges, DMD, a Paducah native who has cared for families here since the practice opened in 2016.

This page is the full map of what we do, from a routine cleaning to a complete set of implants. Every service listed below is provided at our single office at 5504 Reidland Road, by one dentist who knows your history.

If you are not certain which service fits your situation, that is normal. Start anywhere, or call us at (270) 408-1234 and we will help you sort it out.

Comprehensive Dental Care in Paducah, KY

Most practices hand you a list of procedures. We would rather give you a place to stand. Because all treatment happens at one location with one dentist, you are not passed between providers or sent across town for routine work, and nobody has to reconstruct your history from a file. You can read more about the practice itself at Smile Station Dental Care in Paducah, KY.

Dr. Bridges earned his DMD at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry and completes more than one hundred hours of continuing education every year. He is a Fellow and Diplomate of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, a State Certified Oral and IV Sedation Provider, and a certified provider for Bicon dental implants, Durathin veneers, and Invisalign clear aligners. You can meet him on Dr. Scott Bridges’s page.

Comfort is not a bonus feature here. A large share of our patients arrive after years away from a dentist, and the office is a Certified Moderate Sedation Facility for exactly that reason. Whatever brought you to this page, you will not be lectured about it.

Preventive and General Dentistry

The everyday work that keeps the expensive work away. Cleanings, exams, digital X-rays, gum health checks, and oral cancer screenings for every member of the family, from a child’s first visit through adult maintenance.

Most adults do well on a cleaning and exam twice a year, though patients with gum disease or a history of decay often benefit from coming more often. At each visit Dr. Bridges checks existing fillings and crowns, looks at the gum tissue and bite, and screens for oral cancer, because problems caught at this stage are usually small, cheap, and painless to fix.

If it has been five years, or fifteen, that is genuinely fine. A first visit back is an exam and a conversation about priorities, not a list of everything you should have done differently.

Restorative Dentistry

Repairing what is damaged, in the order that preserves the most natural tooth. We start conservative and escalate only when the tooth needs it. Crowns can often be designed and milled in our office in a single appointment, which spares you the temporary and the second trip.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Work aimed at how your smile looks, and at how willing you are to show it. Some patients want one front tooth to match its neighbor. Others want to stop closing their mouth in photographs. Both are legitimate reasons to sit down and talk.

Orthodontics and Clear Aligners

Straightening for adults and teenagers who would rather not wear brackets and wires. Dr. Bridges is a Certified Invisalign Provider and can tell you at a consultation whether aligners will move your teeth the way you are hoping, or whether a referral makes better sense.

Aligners are removable, which is their main advantage and their main catch. They work when they are worn, generally around twenty to twenty-two hours a day, and treatment length depends on how far the teeth need to travel. We would rather set that expectation at the consultation than halfway through.

Implant Dentistry and Prosthodontics

Replacing teeth that are already gone. Implants are the closest thing to putting the original tooth back, and dentures remain the right answer for plenty of people. Dr. Bridges is a Certified Bicon Dental Implant Provider, and he will walk you through the trade-offs in cost, timeline, and daily living before you commit to either path.

Oral Surgery

When a tooth cannot be saved, removing it cleanly and comfortably is its own skill. Extractions are done in our office, with sedation available for patients who want to be somewhere else while it happens.

Before anything comes out, we talk about what replaces it, because that decision is easier to make in advance than after the fact. Recovery from a routine extraction is usually a few quiet days, and we send you home with written aftercare plus a number to call if something does not feel right.

Emergency Dentistry

Broken teeth, lost crowns, swelling, and pain that will not wait until next week. Call (270) 408-1234 and tell us what happened. Same-day care is often possible, and knowing what to do in the first hour matters more than most people expect.

A knocked-out adult tooth has the best chance if it is kept moist and seen quickly. A cracked tooth that is not painful still needs looking at, because the crack tends to travel. Facial swelling, fever, or pain that keeps you awake should be treated as urgent rather than watched, and our answering line covers evenings and weekends.

Specialty and Additional Care

Sedation is the reason a great many patients found us. Dr. Bridges was named the 2025 DOCS Sedation Dentist of the Year, and Smile Station is a Certified Moderate Sedation Facility, which means oral and IV sedation are available in-house rather than referred out. The technology we use exists to serve the same goal: fewer visits, less guessing, and less discomfort.

Care Led by Dr. Scott Bridges, DMD

Dr. Scott Bridges grew up in Paducah and graduated from Reidland High School before Murray State University and the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He has practiced dentistry since about 2000, including several years in Clarksville, Tennessee, before returning home. In 2016 he opened Smile Station in a restored vintage service station on Reidland Road, a building longtime residents had watched sit empty.

His credentials concentrate in two places, and both are deliberate. On comfort: Fellow and Diplomate of the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, State Certified Oral and IV Sedation Provider, active ACLS and CPR provider, trained Emergency Medical Technician, and 2025 DOCS Sedation Dentist of the Year. On restoring and reshaping teeth: certified provider for Bicon implants, Durathin veneers, and Invisalign, with coursework through the Kois Center Advanced Dentistry Continuum.

He is the only dentist here. That is a constraint and it is also the point, because the person who diagnoses your tooth is the person who treats it. Outside the office he cooks for the Buzzard Bros. charity barbecue team, serves on the board of the St. Nicholas Free Medical Clinic, and provides free care through Dentistry From the Heart.

Finding the Right Care for You

If it has been years and you are dreading the call, start with Sedation Dentistry. It is the page written for you, and it is the most common way patients begin here.

If something hurts right now, or a tooth broke, go to Emergency Dentistry and then call us. If you are simply overdue for a cleaning or need a dentist for the whole household, Family Dentistry is the front door.

If you are missing teeth or wearing a denture that no longer fits, compare Dental Implants and Dentures and Partials. And if what bothers you is how your smile looks rather than how it works, Cosmetic Dentistry is the place to start. Not sure? Call. Sorting that out is part of our job, not yours.

You Deserve a Team That Treats You Like Family, Not Just a Patient

Whatever you need from the list above, it starts the same way: a conversation with a dentist who listens first. Call Smile Station Dental Care at (270) 408-1234 or request an appointment online. We are at 5504 Reidland Rd, Paducah, KY 42003, open Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Friday by appointment.
